About us
The Association of Business Service Leaders (ABSL) is a leading organization representing business services in Poland.
We represent 250 of the largest companies and set the standards and directions for growth in the industry, which now employs around 435,000 people.
ABSL's mission is to develop the potential of the modern business services sector and create conditions for its continued growth in Poland. Our aim is to build competitive and sustainable ecosystem that creates new, valuable jobs, helps to responsibly grow business and investment as well as driving knowledge-sharing, education, innovation, public advocacy and communication.
Our top four priorities are: Regional Chapters & Clubs, Advocacy, Talents, Communication.
In cooperation with government representatives, public institutions, central and local authorities as well as local communities, we strive for the enactment of legislation that ensures stable conditions for business development as well as competitiveness and investment appeal in Poland. Together with universities and member companies, we work to improve the skills of people entering the labor market, and widen the availability of human capital in Poland.
We strive to improve public awareness of the sector and communication with the community. The ABSL itself is a trusted partner to several hundred companies from various sectors; both global players with investments in Poland, and Polish-owned companies.
For 10 years we have been building expert competences, know-how and relationships with decision-makers so we can operate effectively. We strive for the enactment of better laws in parliament and the government. Our experts and representatives participate in the legislative work of Parliamentary and Senate Committees. Our strength is in having broad macroeconomic and sectoral expertise as well as a deep involvement in community projects. We provide legal opinions and negotiate business-friendly solutions on matters covered by sectoral, labor and commercial law. We also monitor regulatory changes and identify barriers to entrepreneurship.
ABSL brings together shared service centers (SSCs), business process outsourcing (BPO), information technology outsourcing (ITO) and Research & Development (R&D) centers. Our members include names such as Accenture, Amazon, Arvato, Capgemini, Carlsberg, Goldman Sachs, Google, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, IBM, Infosys, Kimberly Clark, Luxoft, MAN, Procter&Gamble, PwC, Shell, Toyota and UBS.
Every year, ABSL organizes more than 100 meetings, training and workshops to encourage companies to share their knowledge and experiences, inspire one another and build relationships with industry representatives and decision-makers.
Our events address a wide array of industry-relevant topics from domain-specific knowledge sharing sessions to global economic and industry trends presented during ABSL Summit that each year hosts more than 1000 participants from all over the world.
ABSL’s publications are the most valuable source of information about the sector and the directions for its growth.
ABSL’s studies provide in-depth descriptions of the industry, both on a national and regional level, and are widely used by member companies, local governments and journalists. For potential investors, ABSL reports are the primary source of knowledge about Poland’s investment climate, which they use in making forecasts when planning the location of their activities in Poland.

Chapters, Clubs
& Communities
Local and country-wide communities of ABSL are the backbone of our organization that give our member companies opportunity to network, share knowledge and accomplish joint projects & initiatives.
ABSL Chapters are local communities that bring together ABSL member companies from a given region. Chapters are managed by representatives of local ABSL member companies, have autonomy in defining their agenda and governance, but can always count on the support of the ABSL staff, ABSL Board and ABSL Partners.
ABSL Clubs are country-wide communities of professionals from different fields, who wish to discuss sector-relevant topics, share best practices, plan common initiatives or gain an understanding of trends that will shape the sector. Clubs reflect three key areas of sectoral growth: HR, Technology and BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance).
As part of its Chapter activity, ABSL supports the establishment of local communities (or Corners and Priority Groups) and thematic groups for our member companies’ employees, which address issues relevant to the business services sector in Poland. The rules of operation and agendas are set by the participants independently, but the main purpose of establishing them is to enable experience-sharing, benchmarking and networking.
ABSL in Europe now comprises of seven sister organizations operating in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Czech Republic, Latvia, Poland, Hungary, Moldova, Romania and DACH (Austria, Germany, Switzerland. The purpose of ABSL’s international cooperation is to inspire the community of companies in the sector to constantly strive for excellence, and to promote the continued growth and strengthening of the sector’s standing in the region.
The rapidly growing business services sector in Central and Eastern Europe now employs over 750,000 people. As a result of robust international cooperation, we are able to learn and benefit from the experience of companies across the region, accelerating the industry’s growth and effectively addressing the challenges it faces. As the largest organization representing the sector in the region, ABSL strives to promote innovative companies and support new investments that will help the industry grow on an entirely different level.
